After-School Enrichment: Expanding Horizons - Fall 2025

The Muir PTSA is excited to offer a variety of after-school programs this fall, designed to help students learn, explore, and have fun.

Enrollment Process

Program registration is handled through an interest form. If your child is interested in joining a program this fall, please follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the My Account
2. Select MyForms/Paperwork
3. Fill out and submit the Interest Form: After School Programs - Fall 2025 for each child.

Due to limited space, we'll use a lottery system to ensure an equitable registration process. Please enter an interest form by September 12th. Parents of selected students will receive an email with a registration link by September 22nd. If your child isn't selected, you'll be notified that they've been placed on a waitlist.

Program Fees & Support Options

• If your family needs financial assistance, please contact us at asp@muirptsa.org to discuss options.
• Each session needs one volunteer chaperone that often qualify for free tuition for their student based on the vendor for each program! To qualify, you must be an LWSD approved volunteer and a PTSA member.

Fall 2025

Session Dates: September 29th - December 12th

Storytelling & Presentation (Grades K-2)

Dates: Oct 6th - Dec 1st (No programming Nov 3rd) | Mondays 3:15-4:15pm | Fee: $200

Location: JME Library

Activities like show-and-tell, role play, and storytelling games make the practice of public speaking fun while teaching important skills such as organizing ideas, speaking with confidence, and connecting with an audience. More Details >>

Chess Club (Grades 2-5)

Oct 6 - Nov 24th | Mondays 3:15 - 4:15pm | Fee: $152

Location: JME Art & Science Room

Play chess, learn chess tactics and strategies, solve chess puzzles. All materials are provided, just come ready to learn! More Details >>

Indoor Soccer (Grades K-2)

Dates: Oct 6th - Nov 24th | Mondays 3:15-4:15 | Fee: $170

Location: JME Gym

Kick, dribble, and score! Our Soccer After-School program is designed for kids to develop fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment. More Details>>

Cross Country (Grades K-5)

Dates: Sept 30th - Dec 2nd (No programming Oct 7th and Nov 11th) | Tuesdays 3:15-4:15 | Fee: $115

Location: JME Field

Each session combines skill-building drills, running games, and friendly races that encourage teamwork, goal-setting, and a love for fitness. Perfect for beginners and experienced young runners alike, this program keeps kids active, motivated, and excited about running! More Details>>

Clay Club (5th grade)

Dates: Oct - Nov | Tuesdays 3:15-4:15pm | Fee: TBD

Location: JME Art & Science Room

Fire up your creativity with our own Ms. Plese. Will be offered to 5th grade this fall, 4th grade in the winter, and 3rd grade in the spring. Registration information to follow separately. 

Debate Introduction (Grades 3-5)

Dates: Oct 14th - Dec 9th (No programming Nov 11th) | Tuesdays 3:15-4:15pm | Fee: $200

Location: JME Library

Students take their speaking skills to the next level by learning the basics of debate on topics that matter to them. More Details>>

Robotics (Grades K-2)

Dates: Oct 2nd - Nov 20th (No programming Oct 16th) | Thursdays 3:15-4:15pm | Fee: $206

Location: JME Art & Science Room

In this course, students will have a blast while learning about robots and how they work. Students will participate in fun and engaging activities to practice problem-solving and creative thinking. More Details>>

Art - Draw, Dream, Design (Grades K-5)

Dates: Oct 3rd - Dec 12th (No programming Oct 17th and Nov 28th) | Fridays 3:15-4:15pm | Fee: $252

Flag Football (Grades 3-5)

Dates: Oct 3rd - Nov 21st (No programming Oct 17th) | Fridays 3:15-4:15pm | Fee: $170

Hip Pop Dance (Grades 2-5)

Dates: Oct 3rd to December 12th (No programming Oct 17th and Nov 28th) | Fridays 3:15 to 4:15pm | Fee: $247.50

Location: JME Gym

Let's get movin' and groovin'! Hip-Pop is a mix between hip-hop and pop music. We'll incorporate stretching, fun dance warm-ups, and of course- dance games! Students will learn a choreographed dance routine throughout the session. More Details>>
